Family Time

Yesterday was a very grey day, raining constantly and definitely a drop in temperature.  The highlight of the day for us was a visit from my niece Laura and her children.  They came bearing a meal from MacDonalds - the children's favourite choice and something which we now do every school holiday.

The family nicknames are too closely related to their proper names so we had a chat about the need for online names.  After some discussion, and gently pulling them back from the realms of fantasy, they have chosen 'Tinkerbell' (girl child) and 'Tweenie' (boy child).

They were still excited about their recent family holiday with Grandma and Grumpy and various aunties, uncles and cousins.  We heard about the jellyfish incident and how they were saved by their big cousin, Bean! And how the crab caught Tweenie's toe and Bean carried him to Grumpy to remove said crab from the toe!  They went swimming in the sea [it must have been freezing!], built sandcastles, went for walks, had ice creams.

We also got to hear how they spent the holiday money we gave them.  They bought the charms for their crocs (sorry can't remember the proper name for the charms)

Tweenie also bought a ball and Tinkerbell a fox soft toy.  The smurfs were part of their Happy Meal.

A good time was had by all.

Oh - I forgot to take a photo of Laura ..... sorry, hope I'm forgiven!!
